    Catchpoint announces General Availability of WebPageTest API with enhanced features

     

    Catchpoint, the digital experience monitoring solution provider announced on 6th April 2021, the public availability of the WebPageTest API which was initially accessible by some users only. The new version will moreover give deeper performance insights, immediate test results, dedicated assistance, developer resources, and integrations with CI/CD tools.

    The updated WebPageTest API gives programmatic and direct access to WebPageTest data and test infrastructure, which is the industry’s de-facto web performance testing solution. It offers side-by-side video comparisons of user experience from the latest browsers all over the world and in-depth front-end performance metrics.

    The various new features that will be available with the enhanced Web Page Test API are as follows:

    • Rapid Delivery of Web Pages:

    The API will now enable developers to run performance tests from simulated user environments without vacating their CI/CD tool to rapidly provide fast web pages. With the launch of their GitHub Action for WebPageTest, Catchpoint makes it feasible for developers to test their code changes and receive comprehensive performance information right in their existing workflow.

    • Deeper Performance Investigations:

    The WebPageTest API also gives incredible importance to technical SEO consultants and performance engineers, who are capable of automating deeper performance researches and audits to surface new opportunities to enhance the performance of the site.

    • Platform Integrations by 3rd Party:

    Technology providers who are performance-focused make use of the WebPageTest API to create interrelated products and solution integrations to automate image, delivery, and vulnerability analysis, formulated to enhance customer page loading speed and security.

    WebPageTest API services are now available and comprise out-of-the-box integrations and access to Catchpoint’s award-winning assistance association, and also an updated documentation hub and discussion forum. This new API service will not affect the free version of WebPageTest.
